It may be the end of April, but Tuesday it looked and felt like winter.
The winter-like weather caused big problems for spring sporting events around the state.
In Hutchinson, the third round of the Big 12 Men's Golf Championship was canceled because of the ice and cold temperatures.
Several of the golf teams including the KU men's team spent the afternoon at the movies because of the cancellation.
The Big 12 Championship is scheduled to resume Wednesday afternoon.
The cold weather is causing problems for schools and athletic groups all over the state. Hutchinson High School for example, had to cancel all of their outdoor games for Tuesday, They will all have to be rescheduled, something the school has had to a lot this spring.
"This year it's just been horrible. When we get this late in the season with as many postponements and cancellations as we've had, we're having to stack as many as three or four double headers into a seven day period,” Hutchinson High School's Athletic Director Eric Armstrong said.
