Attorneys wrapped up their closing arguments shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday in a trial that's in its third week.

The jury will resume deliberations Thursday morning.

The case of the man accused in the death of a Hutchinson woman is expected to go to a jury today.

Closing arguments are expected this afternoon in the 2011 murder of Hutchinson resident Jennifer Heckel.

Prosecutors say the shooting was apparently a case of mistaken identity. Investigators have said they believe Logsdon and co-defendant Billy Joe Craig planned to rob someone else but went to the wrong house and instead killed Heckel.

The trial is in its third week.

Craig is also charged in Heckel's death, and was originally scheduled to testify against Logsdon earlier this week. That never happened and according to the Hutch Post, Craig is now in contempt of court. His trial is set for January.

KAKE's Lily Wu is covering the trial at the Reno County Courthouse. Look for updates throughout the afternoon and on later KAKE newscasts.
