The Wichita City Council has approved a second settlement between the city and residents of an apartment where a deadly standoff ended more than two months ago.
The latest settlement involves another resident whose apartment was in the area where Jared Woosypiti hid after firing shots at a south Wichita department store. He was killed by police after a 32-hour standoff.
Four units at the Southlake Village Apartments on South Seneca were declared unfit for living after the standoff.
The council voted today on a settlement for more than $25,000. They approved a similar settlement for other residents earlier this month.
