WICHITA, Kan. — Four children have been placed into police protective custody following a neighbor's complaint.
Around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a home in southeast Wichita following a neighbor's call to check the welfare of the children.
When officers arrived, they found two children who had sores on their bodies and appeared to be malnourished. Those two, along with two others in the home were taken into protective custody at the Wichita Children's Home.
The children include 3 boys, ages 6, 8 and 13, and a 1-year-old girl.
There were also two adults at the home, a 31-year-old man and 29-year-old woman.
An investigation is underway, but no arrests have been made.
