--CHENEY, Kan Park rangers say about 32,000 people visited the lake over the holiday. Last year there were 25,000. And while the wind was fierce Sunday and Sunday night, people had a great time.
"Once we said let's go to bed, we went to bed, " said Jennifer Gentry.
"If we blow away, we blow away," said Jerry Gentry. "It was fun."
The Gentrys actually tied their tents to trees Sunday night to keep them tied down. A lot of boaters came out for the day Monday to take advantage of the milder winds.
