Wichita police are searching for suspects after a drive-by shooting in northeast Wichita.

It happened in the 3000 block of E. Carmen around 8 p.m. Thursday.

Police said two people walking in the area called 911 after hearing gunshots. The witnesses saw a vehicle drive east on 21st St. from Carmen shortly after the incident.

Officers later discovered a bullet struck at home on Carmen. Lt. Doug Nolte, Wichita Police, said two people were sitting on the porch during the drive-by.

"We aren't sure that home was the intended target," Nolte said.

No one was hurt.

Nolte said there was some speculation that an East High School graduation at Wichita State University was related to the shooting.

"We don't know what preceded it," Nolte said.

The suspects are described as a black women and three black men last seen driving a 2000 black Pontiac four-door car. Anyone with information on the incident should call police.
