Brownback To Tour Wichita Storm Damage

Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback is scheduled to arrive in Sedgwick County Sunday afternoon to tour tornado damage.

The governor is expected to arrive at McConnell Air Force Base around 2:30 p.m. Brownback will meet with local officials, including Mayor Carl Brewer, County Commission Chairman Tim Norton, Emergency Management Director Randy Duncan and representatives from U.S. Senator’s offices.

The Kansas National Guard 184th Intelligence Wing will provide ground transportation as state and local leaders survey the storm damage. The tour is expected to touch southeast Wichita, specifically Pinnaire Mobile Home Park and the Oaklawn area, as well as Spirit Aerosystems.
