WICHITA, Kan. -- Police are investigating after bomb threats were called into three businesses in Wichita and another in Salina.
Around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, someone called in a bomb threat to a K-Mart store in Salina. Salina Police said a man with a Middle Eastern accent demanded that money be put onto his green dot card, and that there was a bomb in the business.
The building was evacuated and officers searched the store, but were unable to find anything suspicious. They have since cleared the scene.
About half an hour later, similar calls were received at two Wichita Kmart stores, as well as a Walgreens location at Central and Hillside. The caller told employes that a device was in the building, and that if they didn't provide money, there would be an explosion.
All three Wichita businesses were searched, but nothing was found.
