The body of a man has been recovered from a pond outside of a West Wichita church.

EMS, firefighters and Wichita Police were called around 7:30 p.m. Saturday to Central Community Church, located in the 6100 block of West Maple on the report of a possible drowning. When they arrived, the body of a man was found floating in the water.

The man's body was pulled from the water and it was determined that he had already died. The man's body may have been in the water for several days.

Police say the body is that of a 32-year-old man who had been missing for several days. His family had filed a missing persons report Friday.

Police are still working to determine the circumstances of the man's death and whether or not foul play was involved.
