WICHITA, Kan. — Police are still searching for a suspect who robbed a west Wichita bank Wednesday.
Fidelity Bank, located on Central near Tyler, was robbed around 10:45 Wednesday morning. Police say a man walked in with a handgun in his waistband and demanded money. When he had the cash, he ran from the bank and was followed by a customer.
The customer chased the man for about three blocks but lost him in the nearby Westlink neighborhood.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 35 to 46 years old, roughly 6-feet tall with a mustache. He was wearing a red or orange ball cap, sunglasses, a white shirt with a blue collar, a black jacket and blue jeans. He was also wearing either a black vest or a reversed backpack under the jacket.
