KAKE's Parrish Alleman was in El Dorado Wednesday where friends and family are planning an event to honor Wakefield.

"He was just an amazing kid just one in a million, he would do anything for anybody you couldn't ask for a better kid."

Family friend Robin Wren says Trevor's father asked her and her family to help put something together so people could gather in honor of Trevor. Wren and her daughters have scheduled a "flashlight vigil" for Thursday evening to honor Wakefield.

The vigil will be held at East Park in El Dorado and starts at 6:30. Wren says anyone and everyone is welcome to attend, but she asks everyone brings their own flashlight.

Authorities have located the car being sought in connection to an early morning shooting in El Dorado, but the suspect remains at large.

Earlier, Cowley County deputies responded to a call from a woman who reported an accident near Winfield Lake. Deputies interviewed the woman, and learned that she was being sought by El Dorado PD for questioning. Deputies were unable to find the car.

Later, a man reported an accident near Atlanta, also in Cowley County. He described a vehicle that matched the description of the car authorities had been looking for. Deputies found the man and took him into custody for questioning, but again could not locate the car.

Authorities then conducted an aerial search and found the car they were looking for abandoned in a ravine, located in a rural area near Atlanta.

Police believe the two taken in for questioning were riding with the suspect in the shooting, who has still not been located. He is considered armed and dangerous.

The others were transported back to El Dorado for questioning. The car will also be taken back to Butler County for processing.
