UPDATE: Suspect in Parsons shooting turns himself in

Parsons, Kan. -- Police in Parsons are investigating a shooting.

It happened shortly before 1 p.m. when police were called to the 1100 block of N. 26th on the report of a shooting. When they arrived they found 35-year-old Benjamin Huggins had been shot.

He was transported to the hospital, but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The suspect, 32-year-old Clayton Bond fled the area and was being sought by authorities.

However, Bond turned himself into authorities shortly before 9 p.m.

Police are still investigating and no other details have been released.
