Wichita police have made two arrests in a shooting that led to some local schools being locked down. Last week's shooting ended with a car crash on North Waco Street.

Following up on a Crimestoppers tip, gang unit members were watching a home in the 1500 block of North Topeka. Police saw a man leave the house. He was captured after he ran into a house at 1454 N. Topeka.

Robert White, 31, was arrested for possession of firearm by a felon and unlawful possession of narcotics as well as obstruction.

A 29-year-old man, considered a suspect in the case, was arrested on a parole violation at a Hays motel. Corrections records show Jose Jimenez was released on parole in December, 2012.
