Ark City Firefighter Finds Parents' Stolen Car At Accident Scene

An Ark City firefighter got a surprise when he arrived at the scene of an accident.

Emergency crews responded to the 33000 block of 111th Friday morning for a report of an injury accident. An Ark City firefighter recognized the vehicle involved in the accident as belonging to his parents and the driver had no permission to be behind the wheel.

Investigators found tools from a burglary inside the trunk.

The driver, a 24-year-old woman, was taken to South Central Kansas Regional Medical Hospital for treatment. Another suspect, a 28-year-old man was arrested in Kay County, Oklahoma on unrelated warrants.
