PHOENIX (AP) -- A 28-year-old Phoenix man has been sentenced to four years in prison on convictions stemming from a January 2013 collision between his car and a pedicab carrying two Great Bend, Kan., men who were severely injured in the Scottsdale accident.
Joseph Paul Spano had pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault and one count of endangerment and was sentenced Jan. 10.
The Arizona Republic reports that numerous other counts were dismissed as part an agreement with prosecutors.
Cody Clark and Michael Tsyver were in Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl football game.
Clark suffered a severe head injury and he is now at a rehabilitation hospital in the Kansas City area. Tysver suffered a spine injury but was released from a hospital a few weeks after the accident.
