Snow started falling again in Wichita around seven Monday night.
Within a few hours, at least an inch of heavy, wet snow had piled up on streets and highways. The roads are very slick and slippery to drive on.
It was difficult for our KAKE news vehicle to drive more than 30 miles per hour on the highway. We had to drive much slower on the side and city streets, because the snow is much thicker.
We also spotted several highway, traffic, and streets signs that were completely covered in snow.
The Emergency Accident Reporting Plan is still in effect. You don't have to immediately report any accidents if there are no injuries and alcohol and drugs were not involved. Just exchange insurance information and make a report within 24 hours.
