Tulsa Police announced the Amber Alert after 2:30 p.m. when Unique Gill was taken from the daycare located near the 5900 block of S. Peoria Ave. Witnesses told officers that Shannon Dean reportedly entered the daycare and grabbed the 2-year-old from the arms of a worker and left the scene.
According to the release from TPD, "Dean left in a navy blue Nissan Murano possibly a 2006 model with tinted windows." He also has an outstanding felony warrant for domestic assault and battery with a $10,000 fine.
"There is a current protective order in place for Unique and her mother listing Dean as the defendant. He is to have no contact with the child and is considered a non-custodial parent," the release further described.
Dean is considered dangerous as he is a heavy drug user and had a smell of alcohol about his person. Dean is a Tulsa resident but it is unknown where he may be currently staying.
Police describe him as being a black male 170 pounds and 6 foot 2 inches in height. Dean has black hair and brown eyes.
