Wichita, Kan. -- A man watching out for his neighbor helped police catch a pair of thieves.
Every home burglary and every break in we cover, police always say the same thing: look out for your neighbors. They say Monday's incident is a good example of how much good you can do just by looking out the window.
"Well this is just a great example of the neighbors watching out for each other. They saw suspicious activity and when you see it call us. If it's nothing fine but it could be something and this is a great example of that," Lt. Christopher Halloran.
Police say two men walked into an open garage and searched the car inside. A neighbor was watching and took action.
"They actually came outside and yelled at them asked them who they were looking for and that's when the two suspects took off running," Lt. Halloran said.
That neighbor called police and when they got there, they found the two men walking down the street holding what they stole. The only thing they got away with was a pack of business cards.
"Well the way they were banded together at a glance they looked like credit cards. It turns out there were no credit cards in it, it was just business cards," Lt. Halloran said.
The two men were arrested.
