An El Dorado mother accused for her role in the death of her own infant daughter is free on bond today. Alyssa Haag is charged with first degree murder along with her boyfriend, Justin Edwards. The pair is accused in the death of 18 month-old Jayla Haag last March.
Alyssa Haag's jury trial was originally scheduled for last week, but it was continued until October 29. Last week, Judge David Ricke granted Haag's motion to reduce her bond down to $50,000. Her bondsman posted the required 10% and Haag left the jail late Tuesday morning.
Judge Ricke also reduced Justin Edwards bond last week to $100,000, but the Butler County Jail confirms Edwards remains incarcerated. His murder trial was also rescheduled for October 29.
