Larry Schnackenberg, a Lenexa man missing since July 8, was found alive Wednesday.

A Johnson County park patrol officer found the 58-year-old man walking along a trail about 2:20 p.m. He was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

Shawnee Mission Regional Medical Center said Schnackenberg is in good condition Wednesday night.

The Lenexa Police Department said the Schnackenberg family thanks everyone for their support.

"We are happy to inform you of this positive outcome," according to the police statement. "At this time, the family is attending to Larry's medical needs. During this time of reunion, please respect their privacy."

Schnackenberg went missing nine days before his daughter's wedding, which was later postponed.
