Court documents show that the owner of the now-bankrupt Wild West World owed more than $325,000 in unpaid taxes when he planned the creation of the western-theme park.

Thomas Etheredge still owes taxes from 2005.

Etheredge's Restoration Farms has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The company includes Wild West World and the Prairie Rose Chuckwagon Supper.

The park closed in July citing bad weather and spiraling construction cost overruns.

Both tax bills came due in April 2006, the same month that Etheredge began assembling a management team to build Wild West World.

The owed taxes could be mitigated when Etheredge files his 2006 income taxes.
