The Kansas Highway Patrol has released the identity of the teenage girl killed in a one-car crash in Anthony, Kansas Friday.
Sixteen-year-old Lacie Fye, of Anthony, was killed when the driver of a 2000 Toyota SUV traveling northbound on NE 10th Avenue faster than conditions would allow, drove off the right side of the roadway, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol investigators at the scene.
The vehicle vaulted 139 feet prior to impact, vaulted a second time 60 feet before coming to a rest on the right side. The accident happened at about 3 p.m. Friday.
Fye was a passenger in the vehicle driven by 17-year-old Pedro Arellano of Harper. He was taken to Anthony Hospital. Another passenger, 17-year-old Mason Phye of Wichita was also taken to Anthony Hospital.
Investigators report Fye was not wearing a seat belt.

One person was killed in an accident in Harper County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol was called to the scene on Tenth Avenue north of Anthony around 3:00 p.m.
An emergency medical worker tells KAKE News a car lost control on a dirt road, left the road and went through a barbed wire fence. The car flipped end over end several times.
The worker said three teens, two boys and a girl, were in the car. The girl died in the crash. The boys were alert and talking to emergency workers.
USD 361 Superintendent Keith Custer told KAKE News he was aware of an accident involving at least one Chaparral High School student. No other information was available.
