A five-car crash south of Winfield Friday night injures several people.
The accident happened at about 8 p.m. just north of 202nd Road on U.S. 77 in the northbound lanes of traffic.
A man in his 20s is in serious condition and was transported to William Newton Hospital in Winfield. At least 6 others suffered non-threatening injuries.
911 dispatchers say they began receiving calls from drivers that the driver of a white Impala was traveling south in the northbound lane of U.S. 77. Moments later they received calls that there had been an accident with that vehicle.
The accident does not appear to be weather related. The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. No further details were released at this time.
