It is time to honor another outstanding local teacher with the Golden Apple Award. This week's apple goes to Pam Smith. a first grade teacher at Cleveland Traditional Magnet.

KAKE's Jeff Herndon surprised Smith and her class. Dawson Grimsley of Davis Moore Auto presented the Golden Apple and Papa John's Pizza topped the day off with $250 and a pizza party.

A teacher for 21 years, Smith says she is always on the lookout for creative learning tools.
