The town of Greensburg completed a huge step in their rebuilding process as they opened a new hospital. It has been nearly three years since an EF-5 tornado destroyed the town.

A large crowd gathered for the grand opening of the $25 million "green" facility.

The hospital is licensed for 15 beds and is complete with an emergency room. It employs about 90 people.

Jerry Wade is proud to say he is the third patient at the new facility.

"It's great to be able to come here and instead of the 30 minutes to Pratt," said Wade.

After the tornado, doctors and nurses worked out of tents and then portable buildings while the new hospital was being built.
