A Conway Springs man was killed in a two-car accident at K-42 at Tyler Road Friday afternoon.

John Kerschen, 37, was eastbound on K-42 in a 2001 Ford pickup when he failed to stop at the stop light at Tyler Rd., according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

A Honda CRV driven by 44-year-old Larry Franks of Wichita then collided in the intersection with Kerschen's vehicle. Kerschen's pickup spun into a traffic control pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Franks was taken to Via Christi- St. Francis hospital in critical condition. He has been upgraded to fair condition.
