Twenty-one year-old Matthew Sciarrotta of Wichita has died from injuries he suffered after another driver failed to yield and collided with his truck Thursday afternoon. He had been taken to Wesley Medical Center in critical condition.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Tamara Michelle Brown, 43, of Valley Center, was northbound on Greenwich Road when she failed to yield and her 2004 Dodge Ram collided with Sciarrotta's 1987 GMC truck. Sciarrotta was westbound on K254.

Sciarrotta was pinned in the vehicle until emergency medical crews were able to extract him from the wreckage. He was flown by EagleMed to Wesley Medical Center in critical condition. Brown was treated and released at Via Christi-St. Francis hospital in Wichita.
