Wichita fire crews have contained a battery fire at a local plant.
Firfighters were called to Advanced Industries, 4550 S. Southeast Blvd, after 10:00 a.m. A lithium aircraft battery was on fire.
Employees were having trouble keeping the battery from igniting. Fire crews had to ventilate the building due to heavy smoke. No one was hurt.
