I lived in Park City and met Dennis Rader at a meeting which was held to organize the first held Park City Organizational Day. Mr Rader was a scout leader at that time and he blew up at those of us in the room and insulted everyone and walked out. His behavior was beyond odd, and another time I caught him at my back door window at my patio looking in house, but when I saw him I called my husband and he took off running away thru the large drainage ditches that ran between the homes. Had I not sold my home and left in 78 I shudder to think since he was casing my home if I would have been a victim. I always checked my closets and under my bed when I came home w/a baseball bat in hand, and always kept my doors locked. I also believe he is the guy that put a note on my car in Valley Center, Ks. Please be careful in making negative comments about Mary writing book. You never really know people like you think and it took courage for her to write this book.

Mary did not make one dime from this book deal. I know her first hand, better than any of you leaving horrible postings. She did this as a way of standing up for herself and all employees who are being mistreated. It was about doing what is right! While Mary was not murdered, she was a victim, not of BTK but of Dennis Rader. Good for you Mary!

you all are idiots if you bought into this crap. it's disgusting how someone can take such a terrible incident and turn it into another quick cash scheme.

Mary, I'm proud of you for turning your horifying experience into a positive outlet that will hopefully give you the closure you need to heal and give other victims of abusive behavior in the work place and in other aspects of their lives the strength to stand up for themselves. I think that you and the other BTK victims and survivors more than any other BTK story writer have every right to get your story out. Don't worry about people like Jimbo! Good for you if you are able to make money from this outrageos situation that you endured. You had the option to keep your story private and instead chose to be a voice that might help warn others. You are very brave to put yourself out there, and a hero! Unfortunately, for some, like Wes, they just have to be negative. I guess it's not enough that you have colaboration for your story. But you know what? Who cares. You can't please everyone, and the good thing is, you don't have to. Not everyone is worth the effort!

Jon - I don't believe Dee was the Mayor at the time the harrassing behavior took place. She inherited the aftermath. Wes - I think you're an idiot but hey, unlike Mary, I don't have colaboration for my opinion. Of course, it doesn't mean I'm wrong but hey, I'm as entitled to my opinion as you are. Jimbo - Tell me, who is most entitled to be on the BTK train? Someone who read up on him over the years and decided to write a quick book or someone who was personally affected and traumatized by him.

It there a way to put the video to full screen or at leat enlarge it?Because the screen that it is on is incredibly small. Is this sort of nonsense a daily occurance with Dennis Rader?Let's hope that Park City has learned from this and can come up with ways to prvent this type of thing never happens again.I went to K-State back in the 90's.Dennis Rader has proportly to have gone to all the Wildcat home footbal games, plus he had a kid that went to K-State as well.Funny that I don't recall seeing him on the K=State campus.Thanks. Editor's Note: To watch a larger version of this story, click on any of the videos in the "Featured Videos" box (the red one) in the right column. There is a search box within the video player on the upper left side - type in BTK and hit return.

Jon, we all know you have a problem with Dee Stuart, we see your vile posts everywhere. Try asking Mary what happened to her law suits, think she didn't file any? And if you are so great at everything, why don't you run for mayor, govenor, anything?

No real surprise here - this is the same city that employed police offices who have been charged with drug and sex offenses. Seems a little investigating into the pattern of criminal behaviors displayed by Park City employees is in order.

I am out of state, but was able to get on KAKE.com to see this interview. I think a lawsuit is in order for Park City. Single mothers have to take a lot of this kind of treatment, and no one will listen, as their boss knows they have to work to support their children and it is ignored. I am so thrilled Ms. Capps was able to be heard by many viewers, and I do hope future employers will consider any complaints from a woman being treated in this manner and, at least, do something about it!! Ignoring it is just negligence.

Wow, somebody else cashing in on the BTK Train. All aboard! Maybe the pastor of his church will be next.

I believe this woman is lying just to get money for a book deal. If she filed that many grivenances and nothing happened she should have sued the city. I want to see proof that she filed those grivenances before I ever believe her.

Seems to me that she should look into a lawsuit against Park City. Too many times employers do not take notice of women's complaints. Maybe if they had taken notice he would have been arrested sooner.

Whoa...

I agree with A J and Jon's comments about Park City officials! What is the matter with Park City?!? I was surprised at the beginning after his arrest when I heard that someone had filed grievances and nothing was done about it!
