Tiller's Abortion Clinic Vandalized Save Email Print

Someone was able to get by George Tiller's heavy security equipment Tuesday night and gain access to the roof of his East Wichita abortion clinic. Vandals cut a hole through the roof, inserted a garden hose, and flooded the clinic.

Police say they're looking at surveillance video to try to determine who did this. As well as the damage to the building, the vandals tried to use epoxy to seal the parking lot gate shut.

Firefighters responded to a burglar alarm at the building and were able to get inside the gate before the epoxy dried.

In brief, If a woman's life is at risk then labour can be induced and measures taken to save the baby. Only complete idiots would allow this man to violate them in this manner. You 'feminists' sure know how to give men power. And to all you morons out there going on about woman's choice, you cannot kill another human just because it does not suit, sounds to me that these woman are carrying babies till almost full term then going into a tantrumn cos things are not going their way then going along to a money making 'doctor' with no morals whatsoever and being foolish enough to let him murder their child in the most evil manner. The abuse and murder of all children is without a doubt the most evil of crimes and if you do proper research you will see that NO babies have been murdered to save a mother's life at that clinic!!!.

PF, There are no unwanted babies. Hundreds of thousands of American couples are waiting years to adopt. Why are so many in foster care? Ask your county, state, and federal bureaucrats. We want justice and prison for Tiller, death row if we can get it, not vandalism.

I am so sad - and angry - at this latest act of anti-abortion violence. I have lived in Wichita two years; I may be moving out of the state soon, but I shall always cherish that occasion in September 2005 when I met Dr. Tiller. I'm disgusted that some idiot was able to bypass the physician's superior security system. Those culpable should have the book thrown at them (including that archaic black book which condones marital rape tha the local fundies are so fond of).

Response to "N" - you are very lucky.....most others are not.....sonogram tells all......... Response to David: Don't be so quick to judge.... Response to Proud Mama: Do you really think someone past 21 weeks of pregnancy wanted to hear from their OB that their baby has to be terminated? We are not talking a choice here - take off your rose colored glasses.....the Mother's this far gone have bought furniture, painted the nursery..planned for this baby & are totally heart broken and devastated & don't know how they are going to put the right foot in front of the left foot.........they don't choose to look up Dr. Tiller! PF - Michigan, Layla - Kansas......Abby- Greg - David - and Danny.........ROCK ON! I am relieved to know I am not alone in my beliefs.......and no one will ever be able to shut me up.........

First of all, I'm sick of hearing men give their opinions on this subject. Until you are able to physically give birth or even know what it's like to have a period, you have NO right what to tell a woman to do with her own body. Second, I have worked in the human services field for many years (juvenile mental health and juvenile probation). I think all of you need to focus your efforts on the children already in need. Those children who are missing a mother or father, whose whole family abuses drugs, who don't have food to eat or clothes to wear, who were born addicted to drugs because their mother used drugs during the pregnancy and those children that are abused and neglected by the very people that are supposed to love them, protect them, and care for them. The foster care system in this state is already overwhelmed with the children that need homes and the lack of homes available so don't tell me that someone will want that baby. We already have too many children now that need homes. Third, unless you've walked in another's shoes, you have no reason to speak. A VERY close friend of mine had to abort her baby (the baby died in the womb and was at risk of harming her health) yet you so-called Christians called her a murderer as she walked in that clinic. There is no way she would have had an abortion otherwise, yet you crushed her. For some of you Dr. Tiller is a murderer, but other's are grateful for him. Maybe we should all act like real Christians and preach love and acceptance instead of hate. I'll let God pass judgement when the time is right because it sure as hell isn't my job! I'm too busy helping those kids in need.

I had a hard pregnancy and my child was believed to have had down syndrome. Point is Why was the Specialist Doctor giving me the option to abort it? By the way my son i chose to keep was born fine without the syndrome...

That video camera works only when Tiller wants it too. When something happens at the gate he doesn't wanted taped, he'll move the angle of the camera lens. Has the police stated that they have the videotape? First he shreds the documents, now he floods clinic. Sure sounds like a man hiding something! Tiller has broken the law, arrest him and secure the office before more files are destroyed.

Proud Mama in California - since you, in some deluded haze, believe that all babies are wanted by someone, no matter their condition, give us your address and we'll send them to you. Hello, are you not aware of the number of babies/children in foster care in this country because no one wants them? Are you aware of the number of people who go to other countries to adopt children? Check your facts before you open your mouth.

Radicals have to stop pushing their opinions and creating havoc and damage in other people's lives. America should be very grateful for Dr. Tiller. I hope no female would have to experience what our family did recently.....the other 48 states don't permit this procedure to be done legally. They rather a female have to carry the baby for the reminder of the term, knowing their child is severely deformed and will be born stillborn or will only live very, very shortly. Do any of these radicals think about the emotional and physiological effect this has on the Mother, Father, siblings and their entire family? NO......they are too narrow minded. America needs to wake up and stop pushing their opinion on everyone........females need to have the choice and then their conscious has to deal with this, not YOURS! If someone in your family was told their child will not survive and is severely deformed, but you must carry the baby till full term.......you may just change your mind.......THINK! It is not abusing the procedure for birth control.....the child would not be able to survive outside the womb........but still has a very faint heartbeat........it is a very sad situation....very heartbreaking........but could be worse if the Mother is forced to carry the child for the full term..........

Alright already. Isn't this America, the land of the Free? Or am I somewhere else? Last I knew abortions was allowed by law. But there is a bunch of people who think they speak for everyone in this country. I'm sorry you can speak for yourself and I'll speak for myself. Going to the extreme of vandalising or what ever illegal manuver to stop this from happening is against the law. Like it's already been said. There is only one being that sits in judgement over all of us and that would be the Lord above. Let him do his on justice when the time comes. It's not your place to do his job for him.

Pat and Reverend Spitz....I'm so glad that when you meet your Maker she will say...to Hell with you...Clearly you do not understand the word of God which is to love your neighbor, regardless of whether you agree with their beliefs, actions, etc. as yourself. So I guess you hate yourselves. I for one love myself and show God's love to my fellow man and woman.

Oh, who cares. He's a murderer!!

Posted by: Abby Location: NYC on Jul 5, 2007 at 04:40 PM
Kansas loves its babies, yes it does. So, of course, you have free medical care for all children, free childcare centers for mothers who must work, and free college so that your many babies can grow up to be contributing, tax-paying, self-supporting citizens. Right? It's so easy to love the unborn. They don't cry and they don't need and they don't have bills a mother working at a woman's wages can't pay. Until then, Kansas is a state full of "devout" hypocrites.

Posted by: Sandy Location: Oregon on Jul 5, 2007 at 04:19 PM
Oh for the love of pete, a cell not visible to the human eye IS NOT a baby. If it is, why are women not required to undergo monthly inspections in order to properly intern human remains.

Posted by: David Location: California on Jul 5, 2007 at 04:10 PM
R/W Christian morals. If Christ were alive today, it would be the Liberals who supported him, and the conservatives would be pinning him to a post and calling for his execution. What a bunch of HYPOCRITES you so-called christians are. I don't think most of you even truly believe in a God or an afterlife. If there is a God, and he supports people who pull Garbage like this, then I would rather burn in hell than be amongst an entity or followers who are capable of such anger and hatred towards their fellow human beings. Right To Life, huh? Of course, once the baby is born, that's where your support ends, and your criticism of the parents being able to support and raise the child, begin. I'm sure you also believe in doing everything you can for the BORN children of this overpopulated world. Same right to lifers who support the fact that 3,600 of our young americans 18-40, are dying in Iraq. But I guess since they're no longer fetuses, their lives ain't worth Spit.

BLAH BLAH BLAH terrorists LMAO what about calling mr. Tiller what he is a MURDERER!!! Hello! I mean shoot I wouldn't bomb him, shoot him, or even flood his office but I don't feel one ounce of sorrow for him! and to the last comment in michigan these women go full term FULL TERM and DELIVER their babies why the HELL can't they deliver the poor child and give it away??? EVEN if that poor baby has a bisorder of great magnitude! SOMEONE WILL WANT THAT BABY! BLAH BLAH constitution is there to PROTECT our human right these children are HUMAN and are DELIVERED for GOD SAKE! HE kills them in UTERO and then he offers bonding with the DEAD FETUS why don't all you pro-choicers go check his page out! Here is the thing I think women should have their own choice but if your gong to have an abortion dont bring that child to full term then kill it and deliver it GIVE IT TO SOMEONE!!! There was a baby that survived this horrid thing "baby Sarah" Tiller said the child moved and his injection went into her brain not her heart so she didn't die. She was born in a parking lot and LEFT there then when a worker found her the baby was adopted within HOURS PEOPLE let's not be blind here to the facts ok...(btw baby sarah died at age five because of the complications of the shot going into her brain and she lived those five years blind) anyway I would consider myself really on the wire with beliefs of choice however PBA NOWAY...and what the heck does Bush and corruption have anything to do with it Tillers associates have even admitted to lying on documents about gestation ages...so um...what's corrupt. And also how is Bush supposed to have anything to do with this...you are rediculous and trying to blame anything on Bush HAHA...anyway all you people who think Tiller is doing us a favor or somehow doing good here the good would be giving a family who cant have a baby a child they have always wanted and dreamed of...that would be doing america good GOT IT...

Posted by: Layla Location: Kansas on Jul 5, 2007 at 03:09 PM
I want to know if any of these people doing these childish and hateful things to Dr. Tiller have went through anything similar to what some of these women have gone through. You protesters view him as a babykiller, but to the women that have went to him for help for whatever they have gone through (which most of the time is something that we couldn't even fathom) look at him in a completely different light. I don't care who you are or what religion you practice if any at all, not one of us has a right to judge another human being. If you don't agree with his practice, then don't, that is why we live in America, you are allowed by law to do so. What I can't agree with is going as far as vandalizing someone's property or doing acts of hate crimes to prove a point, it is ridiculous and out of line.

Posted by: David Location: Connecticut on Jul 5, 2007 at 03:00 PM
The police are protecting a murderer (Tiller) and his headquarters? Isn't this backwards? Shouldn't they be arresting Tiller?

Posted by: PF Location: Michigan on Jul 5, 2007 at 01:44 PM
Again, the fanatics who don’t believe in “pro-choice” take to breaking the law and vandalism to try and prove their point. NOT EVERYTHING IS BLACK & WHITE! You will never know all the reasons people turn to Dr. Tiller and his clinic. In your blinding rage to try and stop what you perceive to be wrong, you cross the line. If you believe that the people who choose to or have no other choice but to request help from Dr. Tiller and his clinic need to be stopped, I believe that to be doubly true for you fanatics. While our Constitution provides that you are entitled to your beliefs, you have no right to force your beliefs down anybody else’s throat. No one is forcing you to enter that clinic or request help from that clinic. God forbid it should happen to you or one of your family members.

the party of morals and values speak again Corruption reigns free under Bush

It is amazing how people are so quick to judge another person. It is funny to think that most of these people that are doing this sort of thing are supposed to be Christians. Well if I understand the religion I grew up in correctly I remember hearing that to be a Christian ultimately the goal is to be Christ like, follow in His footsteps right? Jesus is loving and kind, not vindictive or malicious. I also remember hearing that God is the only one who is able to judge anyone, not us. So a message to all you who think you are doing good by terrorizing this "babykiller's" office: Remember the quote from the Bible "Vingence is mine" says the Lord. He will take care of Dr. Tillers sins, that is not anyone of our places to do so. Don't attack him personally, get to the root of the problem which is the law that allows it. Please stop making everyone that follows this religion look like a bunch of crazy people.

Gosh, let’s hope all those highly sensitive abortion records of 2004-2007 weren’t damaged, eliminating the possibility of more “technicality” charges that have to be thrown out by baby-hating federal judges.

Posted by: Pat Location: Wichita on Jul 5, 2007 at 10:44 AM
I am not a violent person, but I feel that a little gasoline and a match would have stopped them from murdering babies for a longer period of time.

Posted by: Rev Spitz Location: Virginia on Jul 4, 2007 at 11:31 PM
I love it. That babykilling place should be shut down and George Tiller should be in prison for murdering those babies.
