A man is recovering in a Wichita hospital after being shot and wounded by agents of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
The two agents have been placed on administrative leave pending a review of the shooting early Wednesday in rural Neosho County.
According to a statement from Attorney General Steve Six, the agents were investigating a report of a possible methamphetamine lab in rural Neosho County when they came upon two men.
One of the men fled but was later arrested. The statement says the other man got into a vehicle and drove at the agents, who then opened fire.
The man's injuries were described as non-lifethreatening. His name has not been released.
The Parsons Police Department has been asked to investigate and will present its findings to the attorney general.
