The Atchison County Sheriff's office says it has recovered a key piece of evidence in the disappearance of a rural Horton woman.

Patricia Kimmi disappeared from her home on Nov. 6, and her family reported her missing the next day.

Law enforcement officers on Thursday searched a home in rural Nemaha County that belongs to friends of Kimmi's ex-husband.

The St. Joseph News-Press reports that Sheriff John Calhoon says investigators found a dismantled car that is believed to be involved in Kimmi's disappearance. He says the couple that lives at the home owns the car.

No charges or arrests have been made in the case.
