A Cowley County man has been found guilty of second degree murder in the death of his girlfriend. A jury returned the verdict against David Webster late this morning.

Webster reported Lenora Diane Chambers missing in April, 2009. Her body was found several days later in a rural area east of Winfield.

Tapes of interviews Webster did with KBI agents were played during the trial. In the interviews, Webster told investigators the couple had been fighting and he choked Chambers. Webster took investigators to Chambers' body.

Webster will be sentenced February 22nd.
