Saline County authorities have identified the victims of a double murder-suicide. The bodies of the three people were found in a New Cambria area home Thursday.
The Saline County Sheriff said Lance Begnoche, 35, of Manhattan went to his parents home at 2016 E, Marcy Lane Saturday. Sometime yesterday, he called a relative and said he'd shot his parents.
Authorities went to the home and negotiated with Lance Begnoche for hours. Law enforcement officers went into the home and found Lance Begnoche, his father Gary Becnoche, 64, and 61-year-old mother Ellen Begnoche dead.
Investigators don't know the motive for the killing. The Saline County Sheriff said his officers had no previous contact with the family. Autopsies are scheduled for this afternoon in Topeka.
