The freezing temperatures are all ready causing problems for homeowners.
Plumbers have been busy for several days dealing with frozen pipes and broken water heaters. They say as the temperatures fall it's only going to get worse.
"A lot of faucets tend to freeze, outside piping tends to break," said Benjamin Franklin Plumbing's Jason Clark.
Plumbers recommend if you have water lines that run along an outside wall to turn on that faucet just a bit so the pipes don't freeze up over night. Also remember to unhook your outside hoses and watch your water heaters for any leaks.
Auto mechanics recommend having your antifreeze, car battery and tires checked before it gets too cold.
