Harvey County authorities are searching a metal shed after uncovering a theft ring.

Deputies were called to investigate the report of a suspicious person Tuesday. During the investigation, deputies found a vehicle stolen from Barton County. They followed footsteps in the snow to a building at SE 96th & Kansas Avenue. A person was found hiding in the building's loft and was arrested after a brief struggle.

Officers found a number of stolen items inside the shed. The items were missing from Harvey County and other surrounding counties. Authorities in the other counties have been notified to help identify the stolen items.
