6-7-07 - Neighbors of the man now charged with kidnapping and killing Kelsey Smith are stunned that the man they know could have committed such a crime.

Twenty-six-year-old Edwin Hall is due in Johnson County District Court this afternoon for arraignment on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated kidnapping.

But neighbors say Hall, his wife and their four-year-old son were not trouble-makers. A former neighbor of the Halls in Kansas City says they were "a nice young family." At their current home in Olathe, Cameron Migues says his next door neighbor seemed like a nice, normal guy.

Migues says his three children often played with Hall's boy, adding that he thinks Hall had worked in restaurants in the past and was now employed at a warehouse.
