Wichita To Host Junior Olympics In 2011
The six-day event is expected to attract more than 6,500 athletes and have an economic effect of $11 million to $13 million. It allows athletes to compete in five age divisions.

Wichita has been picked to host the 2011 Junior Olympics.

The six-day event is expected to attract more than 6,500 athletes and have an economic effect of $11 million to $13 million. It allows athletes to compete in five age divisions.

Houston and Des Moines, Iowa, also had been finalists.
