UPDATE : A 44-year-old man hospitalized following a head on collision in Cowley County Friday morning has been upgraded for serious condition.

The Cowley County Sheriff's Department says Randall Parish of Santana was eastbound on U.S. 166, when his pickup truck hit a grain truck head on.

Parrish was flown to Wesley Medical Center where he remains in critical condition.

The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.

At least one person was hurt in a head-on collision in Cowley County this morning.

The accident happened after 10:00 a.m. on US Highway 166, near the town of Dexter.

An SUV and a pickup hauling a grain trailer collided head on. One of the drivers was flown to Wesley Medical Center for treatment. There's no word on the driver's condition.

The accident reduced traffic to one lane on the highway.
