A father and son from Liberal are convinced that a meteorite landed in their own backyard.
The 10-year-old boy was outside playing when he heard what sounded like an explosion about 15 feet from where he was standing. He looked over to see dirt and debris shoot five feet high in the air.
At the bottom of a foot-deep hole, he found a two inch metallic rock. The boy showed it to his dad, who says he knows its a meteorite.
