Wichita Bookkeeper Indicted On Charges Of Stealing
A Wichita woman has been indicted on charges of stealing more than 948-thousand from her employer, Pistotnik Law Offices.

A Wichita woman has been indicted on charges of stealing more than 948-thousand from her employer, Pistotnik Law Offices.

Vicki Olivarez is charged with one count of bank fraud and 10 counts of forging the signature of Brian Pistotnik on checks drawn on the law firm's account.

The alleged crimes occurred from September 27, 2004, through September 2 of this year, while Olivarez was a bookkeeper for the law firm.

The indictment alleges Oliveraz wrote 441 checks totaling over 948-thousand dollars payable to herself, husband and cash.

If convicted, Olivarez faces a maximum of 30 years and a fine of up to 250-thousand dollars on the bank fraud charge, and a maximum of up to 250-thousand dollars on each count of forgery.
