Murder Suspect Booked Into Reno County Jail

The Reno County Sheriff is holding a homicide suspect after a woman was killed near the Kiowa County town of Mullinville Friday night.
Reno County jail records show the 39 year-old suspect, Mark Harold Ralstin, was booked into jail just after midnight.
Reno county authorities received a call of an burglary at a rural home around 11:00pm Saturday night. They found the man, unarmed, in the bushes outside of the home. The man told authorities he was from Kiowa county. Reno county authorities called Kiowa county asking about the man. That's when Kiowa county authorities informed Reno county they were looking for this man in connection to a murder.
Ralstin has been booked into Reno county jail for homicide and second degree murder. Reno county Sheriff Randy Henderson said he will remain in their jail until Monday when they will extradite him back to Kiowa county.
A short news release from the Kiowa County Sheriff says that deputies were called to a rural home in the western part of the county at about 9:30 p.m. Friday. They were responding to a report of shots fired. When they arrived, they discovered a 35 year-old woman dead.
