This is ridiculous...this is what happens when Kansas citizens are only concerned about tax cuts. Obviously we need to get rid of a couple of people in Topeka! Because now we have a justice system that can't effectively represent us!! What's the point?? We have job cuts in the aircraft industry, job cuts left and right...and now you tell me that we are going to have job cuts within are judicial system!! crazy...we depend on our government... we pay SO Much out of our own pocket and now they have more than proved that they're aren't properly spending it.
The next story will be about the jails and prisons being over-crowded now
Great! How many pedophiles and rapists will slip through the cracks while we play games?
This is great news. The state really needs to look at the court cases of these district courts. Wallace County is a prime example. They have a district judge that makes $60,000 a year and most days have two clerks working. Yet they only have about 10 to 15 criminal cases a year and only about 80 traffic cases a year where the individual sends in the money for their fines. This is a total waste of tax payers money. If you want to check it out just go to the judicial branch web site and view the statistics. I also believe that this is a great story for the news media as the district courts just want their side told. They want a district court in each county so that it gives a lawyer another job, but they don't want the public to know just what they are getting for their tax dollars. Most days in Wallace county the public sees the district judge working at his private business and if you need him at the court house they will call him and you can wait for him to get there.
