Iraq and Afganistan does have a definate connection. Do you not remember the fact that Saddam was a tyrant? He was building weapons he shouldn't have been building and was funding muslim extremists. And yes, warheads were found (an empty warhead is still a warhead and shows obvious intent). Of coarse it doesn't matter what I say, because everyone has their opinion. The only difference is that my views and opinions are not based on what I seen on CNN.
As a veteran I was disappointed in the use of the phrase Military Massacre for the incident at Fort Hood on Fridy evenings news broadcast I thought that to be very distasteful.
VS, It does matter how many were Saudis because we retaliated against the wrong country. We will no more win the war on Muslim extremism than we did the war on drugs; remember how that turned out? Muslim extremism is also here in our country, this Fort Hood shooting is an example. How can we stop the extremism in foreign countries when we can’t even stop it in our own? I agree Bin Laden needs to be taken out, but the point I'm trying to make is this. After 9/11, we did not defend ourselves and now we are treated like cowards by these extremists. We started a war which cannot be won and will last until Christ returns. Our sons and daughters cannot sustain this war for eternity and how can we take out Muslim extremism when we can't even remove the child molesters from our society.
Gena let come to your defense. It don't matter 15 of those on 9-11 where Saudi. The War is against Muslim extremist Which is almost every Country in the Middle east. We're after Bin Laden in case you forgot, Which dispite the lies of the left, does have a connection with Iraq and Afghanistan.
Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11 - it's been proven over and proven there is no connection.
Well all i got to say is im sick of seeing our troops coming home and being crazy including my family members!! I havent forgot about 9/11 but come on I was in 8th grade when it happened and here i am now 22 years old dont think this has gone on for too long for what for NOTHING!!! I havent seen any good in what is going on!!!
I can not believe all of the anti-American's posting empathy for this murderer.
Gena, since you have brought 9/11 into this, do you know the facts? 15 of the 19 hijackers on Sept. 11, 2001 were Saudi citizens. Now why are we at war in Iraq and Afghanistan instead of with Saudi Arabia? See, I am one of those you speak of and I have not forgotten 9/11. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor did we drop the atom bomb on Germany? No, we defended ourselves against those who attacked us. But, after 9/11 we did not defend ourselves from those who attacked us. That is why most of us are against these wars and we are sick and tired of our sons and daughters fighting the old man’s wars.
And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree, there will be an answer, let it be.
Does it not seem ironic that the reason so many people honor our military is the fact that they are fighting for our freedom, yet this man who was an american citizen, was so harrassed, and belittled for doing exactly what this country is so famous for, having freedom of speech, religion. Yet this same country will give millions to an idiot from another country that is good at sports, and refuses to be a citizen!!!!! Go figure the reasoning?
COWARD! That is the only word other than tragedy that comes to mind when I think about what happened at the base. Because of what the men and women in the Armed Forces do, I have the right...no, the privilege to say what I want on this post without worrying about being punished for it. I can walk down the street and not worry about road side bombs. I can feel safe in my home. COWARD! The states is where soldiers feel safe and you have taken that away from them. Whatever the motive, personal or religious, you are a COWARD!
Some of you people need something else to do! Just because someone has a foreign name does not make them a terrorist! If you read the stories you'll find out that this guy was actually born and raised in the USA which makes him an American citizen by birth! If someone has a different religion does not mean he/she is automatically bad! I also read that he had an impeccible record as a psychiatrist and that he helped our mentally wounded soldiers wherever he could! I'm not defending the actions he took yesterday, that was very wrong and he needs to be punished for it. In my opinion this guy just simply blew a gasget, went crazy or something and did what he did. My prayers go out to all the families involved. Oh, and for all you negative nancy's out there.... I was not born in this country but am a Citizen now... Does that automatically make me a terrorist???
This guy had blogs and articles about suicide bombings, etc.
This is for all the people who made to comments about being against the war. Have you forgot about 9/11, or do you just not care?
Just ANOTHER reason to carry a gun at ALL times...EVERYWHERE you go! Get you're Concealed Carry Permit, don't wait 5-10-15 minutes for the police to show up..you will be dead by then!
