Emergency crews have located a teenager who was the subject of a lengthy standoff today. The boy was found at a relative's house in Maize at 3:45 p.m.. He was handed over to Sedgwick County Sheriff's Deputies for questioning.
Crews were called to a home in the 11000 block of 24th Street, north of Valley Center this morning.
Emergency crews say a 17-year-old got into an argument with his father over going to school. The father left the home. He told authorities there are several weapons in the house.
Authorities, including a SWAT team, spent hours outside the home. It was eventually determined the teen was not inside.
