The former home of the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame could soon be the home of dozens of high paying jobs.
The Wichita City Council today agreed to pursue a real estate agreement to sell the former Hall of Fame building at 238 North Mead.
Marketplace Properties has offered $1,425,000 for the building. It would be used to house an expansion of Airbus' Wichita office.
Airbus has discussed the possibility of bringing an additional 100 engineering positions to Wichita. Those positions have an average salary of $150,000.
Two other groups presented offers for the Hall of Fame building. The Hall of Fame has moved to the Wichita Boathouse.
