3-7-07 - The former home of the "BTK" serial killer was reduced to a pile of rubble Wednesday morning. The house owned by Dennis Rader was purchased by the Park City last year.
At 7 a.m. Wednesday, crews began demolishing the house and loading the remains into four large trucks.
A police officer stood by to guard against souvenir seekers making off with pieces of debris.
Park city paid less than $60,000 for the house where Rader and his family lived for 25 years before he pleaded guilty to the ten killings.
The city wants to use the land to create a new entryway to Jardine Memorial Park.
