Rain is expected to transition to snow overnight into Saturday morning. One to four inches could fall in the Wichita area, but should melt quickly.

With Labor Day upon us, the Kansas State Fair is just around the corner. In years past, the only "Tweets" at the State Fair came from the bird barn. This year, the Fair's slogan could be changed from "Check Out The Studs" to "Check Out The Tweets."
"I think we have a question on Twitter now," says one of the organizers.
Instead of lights, camera, action at media day Thursday, it was computer, Facebook, and Twitter. The TV cameras were still there, but all the questions were coming from across Kansas.
"Someone wants to know if Denny likes pickle pops. "Does Denny like pickle pops?"
"Needless to say, there are going to be new things," said Denny Stoecklein, the general manager of the Kansas State Fair. "Pickle pops are on, the potato tornado is another one that's going to be featured."
Our Twitter hosts are Jen and Todd and the whole show, from the stage at Lake Talbot, was streamed live on the Internet. Jen and Todd talked about new food at the fair, ride-o-rama days, who's at the grandstand and also answered more detailed questions.
"Alan is asking if it's true that the butter sculpture is of Michael Jackson."
The interaction won't stop there. Organizers are encouraging people to get on their website, go to the Facebook page, and follow the fair on Twitter.
"We mentioned taking some photos and videos," said Stoecklein. "We want to make sure everyone is tagging their photos and videos with #ksf09. That way we can keep a great catalog with everyones experience from the fair."
