A Western Kansas teenager died in a one vehicle accident early Sunday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said Amber Schmitt, 17, of Burdett died in the crash on US-283 in Hodgeman County at 12:30 a.m.
Troopers said the pickup truck Schmitt was driving left the southbound lanes of the highway and rolled in the ditch. Schmitt was taken to Hodgeman County Medical Center where she died a couple of hours after the accident.
