Dan Bloom says he's no longer in the race for Kansas' Republican governor nomination.
Bloom's supporting Wichita Mayor Bob Knight. He says he hopes his help will push Knight over the top.
The businessman and former Eudora schools superintendent bought no commercials, and even did without yard signs.
Bloom made his announcement tonight at a debate with Knight and the other contenders, Tim Shallenburger and Dave Kerr.
The four taped a Kansas City debate this afternoon. They appeared together later at a forum shown live by KPTS-TV in Wichita.
Bloom said the race isn't about him. Rather, he said it's about getting the kind of people who are good for Kansas.
Bloom said Knight stands alone as being separate from what he called ``the old machine'' politics in Topeka.
